About Us

Our Story

John's Pass Village & Boardwalk is one of Madeira Beach’s most beloved waterfront destinations, where coastal history, local flavor, and Gulf-side adventure come together. The pass itself was created by a hurricane on September 27, 1848, and local legend says pirate John Levique made the first passage through it, giving John’s Pass its name.

What Makes the Pass Special

Today, the Village carries that history forward with the energy of a classic Florida fishing community. More than 100 merchants line the waterfront, offering unique shopping, casual bites, seafood restaurants, family-friendly attractions, and easy access to life on the water. Visitors come here to stroll the boardwalk, browse local shops, watch boats pass through, and enjoy experiences like fishing trips, dolphin watching, shelling tours, parasailing, jet skiing, and boat rentals.
